QUEST Romania 2011 Anniversary conference

the Leonardo da Vinci "In-Class"-Project / EuroEd Foundation, Iasi, and 
the Grundtvig "TAMSEF"-Project / The Department of Modern Languages and
Business Communication - the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest

This international event marks the 15th anniversary of QUEST Romania and capitalises on synergies with two European Lifelong Learning projects promoting multilingualism and multicultural understanding: "In-CLASS", Leonardo da Vinci Transfer-of-Innovation, coordinated by EuroEd Foundation, Iasi (www.inclass-project.eu), and "Towards a more specialised European Framework for (self-)assessing language competencies" (TAMSEF), Grundtvig Learning Partnership, with the Department for Modern Languages & Business Communication of The Academy of Economic Studies as Romanian partner. As always, it draws inspiration from EAQUALS in the field of Quality Assurance and from the added value of ECML Teacher Education programmes. Building on the interdependence of all these dimensions, this year's anniversary edition is also dedicated to the European Day of Languages (EDL) and is entered in the EDL-data base of the ECML and The Council of Europe.
As an interdisciplinary forum, it will bring together academics and professionals from various domains and countries, as well as representatives of both national and international institutions, with an interest in the quality dimension of language education/higher education/adult education and the inter-relatedness of education, in general, and the world of work.

6. Teacher Development, self-evaluation and the added value of lifelong learning - an interdisciplinary forum for sharing ideas, expertise and outcomes of relevant national and international projects

TIME FRAME: Friday, 21 October, 9.00 - 18.00 + conference dinner; Saturday, 22 October, 9.00 - 14.00
CONFERENCE LANGUAGES: EN, DE, FR, RO
SESSION FORMAT: 20 minute presentations followed by a 10 minute discussion; Poster presentations during breaks.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS & REGISTRATION: 10 October 2011.
PUBLICATION: The volume with conference proceedings will be published by Editura ASE, on CD ROM with ISSN.
CONFERENCE FEE: 120 Lei (30 EUR); ASE & QUEST members & project partners: 100 Lei (25 EUR); Students: 40 Lei. The conference fee includes the conference folder, coffee & refreshments and buffet lunch on both days.
On Friday evening there will be a cocktail offered by QUEST Romania and partner institutions.
